• Additional expansion of the Emergency Department, including upgrading computerized information technology.
• Create a cardiovascular testing and service pod through relocation of services.
• Expand the Sleep Lab to improve access and scheduling.
• Re-focus general surgery services by improving patient access to several care options, such as gall bladder removal, appendicitis treatment and breast care.
• Strengthen the family practice program, with additional focus on ear, nose and throat care.
• Institute bar code technology to decrease medication-dispensing errors.
• Install other computerization tools for improved patient record maintenance.
