Oakwood Manor

For years, Oakwood Manor, located on the campus of Bedford Memorial Hospital (BMH), has been the community’s partner for providing patients with intermediate and long-term care. And that much-used Service will continue. But within the last few years, patient need for skilled care—also called rehabilitation and therapy—has been on the rise.

Oakwood Manor entranceThe 111-bed unit provides inpatient rehabilitation and recovery care for those unable to receive rehab at home, who may or may not have a condition severe enough to enter long-term care. The medical staff sees patients 18 and older with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic injuries and stroke.

Our rehabilitation and recovery program has a solid reputation in the community for improving the quality of life for those we serve. We are part of BMH, if a patient becomes ill, medical care is immediately available, most of the time without leaving the facility.

The program accepts worker’s compensation, Medicare, private insurance and private pay patients. For more information about the rehabilitation and recovery unit, call 540-587-3336.
